I'm going to the future.

I want I want I want....

Today was nice, had a conference call. I felt all businessy took notes, nodded, and said “mmhmm” over and over again. I get the feeling conferences calls and meetings can get real old real fast. I've been on one on one calls for the past 3 days.

I got a phone for home now. It is an IP-Phone. Although it is not nearly as nice as the Cisco phones I got to work with a while ago it is spiffy to have around. The phone is next to my bed so one of these days I know someone is going to call me at what is my 4am

I've found that the more intelligent, unique, and “random” a person claims to be the more ignorant, insipid, and cookie-cutter they really are. Donno but I don't think being “unique” is something you set out to do. Those that actually are aren't trumpeting the fact.

And so I was thinking of spending a -lot- of money on things that I probably should be getting. I don't really “do” photography as in I don't go places to take pictures of things. There isn't much here in my town that interest me however when I do take pictures of things here and there I've felt the limitation of my camera. I suppose that is inevitable regardless of what camera had. Even so I've looked around.

I'm not a real photographer and don't -need- any of this but I want to do what I call “Going Red Ring” I currently have the Canon Rebel Digital XSi/Canon EOS Kiss Digital x2/Canon EOS 450D weighing in at 600~800usd. I don't really think I would feel comfortable with a red ring lense on this camera. The camera that I've been looking at is the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, a 4,000~5,000usd camera. What made me -really- want this is the following video:

The Mark II is also full frame and that means a lot.

However I found you can do this with just about any camcorder as long as you have a “DOF Adapter”. Anyway, Red Ring; the red ring lens are generally better: better build, better functionality, and more quality in the picture. However they come with a price, a hefty price, My current prime lens, the Canon EF 50mm f1.4 goes for about 300~500usd while the red-ring version or the “L series” goes for about 1,300~2,300usd. And the lens I have is in the middle of them. The one below it, the Canon EFF 50mm f/1.8 II goes for about 82~150usd, and I think that is the one most amateurs have.

I'm just wanty. But I guess its good to have dreams and know/show restraint.

Also I think my laptop may be at the end of its days here soon. I'm not sure but sometimes she acts silly for no reason, sometimes at BIOS/POST, OS startup, OS usage, and shutdown. She'll do things like hang for longer than usual or be slower than usual. I haven't really sat down and dried for figure out whats wrong and further than HDD or RAM replacements there isn't much that can be done for a laptop a replacement motherboard would be the only other option and that normally costs just as much as the machine originally did. So I was thinking of getting one of the new macbooks because they are...well...nice. I'd probably get the 2.4GHz 15-inch pro or the 2.0GHz 13-inch base model. But of course I don't really use all of that power and I don't need it just in case. Again...being wanty.

In addition to those two I want to go back over seas! Thats a good 5,000~8,000usd depending on where I go and how I do it.

I always tell people to try not to buy/live outside of their income. Gotta live by that! I've been Interneting too much recently Need to get back into 'dem boox Some links:

My eyes are burning

It is tough doing things when you haven't slept in about a day and a half. Trying to re-sync my sleep schedule, I work 2am to 10am. Managed to pull two chapters out of OOP DeMYSTiFieD and The Pragmatic Programmer I read 4 chapters today....yay....Need to kick that up a notch I took my braids down and found out I have split ends. Need to get a trim.

It's funny. My days off are Thursday and Friday so that would make Wednesday my Friday and Saturday my Monday. My vacation started on a Thursday and ended on a Friday so it's like there was a time paradox and my two days off turned into nearly a month off...I onno. One heck of a Thursday and a Friday.

Meh

Woke up late, shouldn't have bothered with waking up today. I wish there was a notes applet or something for this.

Pretty food.

So I need to figure out how to make my food pretty. I can make good food but it just doesn't look very pretty.

Very long, do read.
http://linuxlock.blogspot.com/2008/12/character-assasinations-aint-us.html

These are all pretty good:

Is there a name for this kinda music? I want to go to this hotel.

I need to figure out how to make the effects here. I think they are all just blue/green screen and a bit of stop motion.

Still getting over yesterday. Feeling kinda down....

Horrible out there

So I went out today, it was horrible. When I wanted to go out all 3 of people I would go somewhere with said they couldn't go for various reasons.....I need more than just three. So it was crowded out today, I didn't even know that many people lived in this town. However it is shopping season so I guess that is to be expected. I did get a few new things and I went back on my “No more fast food diet” and got a BBBLT (Bacon, Bacon, Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato)....It is the cheap bacon so you have to use more than you normally would.

And so I got a santoku, I haven't named it yet. What do you think I should name it?

I ~try~ not to buy the same book on any one subject in hopes that some of them will have different views and explanations on their subject. This helps me put together an understanding on the topic and I guess it is just good for diversity.

I was thinking of doing a tutorial on how to do a thing or two because explaining a subject helps you master it even more. But my voice doesn't do well on microphones and I don't have a very high quality one.

So I'm not a good driver and I figure next time I go any where and I don't have to be anywhere quickly I'll just ride the bus. That'll save me gas, get a bad driver off the road, and it'll be good exercise. However I don't plan on going anywhere else for a very -LONG- time.

Static vs. non static.

Google has their own extension for their websites it seems. "http://www.blogger.com/post-create.g?blogID=...." That is funny to me.

I was reading today, what is the difference between a static member and a non static member?

My vacation is coming to an end, I regret not traveling anywhere. I'll go some where for sure next year.

I need/want a project. Something I really want to do....Thats the hard part about anything really wanting or not wanting to do it. I think I might go book shopping tomorrow, what should I Get?

The following is not relevant to anything mentioned above.

Meaningful Names?

Meaningful Names?

So I was doing some design today, I had one earlier but it was broken from the get-go. I was doing the whole CSS thing, like I do, when I realized that most of my names aren't meaningful. That'll present a problem if for some reason the project grows large. Now I just need to throw some code behind it. I'm going to do it in C# just to get the hang of C#. Then I'm going to redo it in PHP and use as much OOP as I can so I can get the hang of using OOP.

The design is pretty simple, no phantasmal, whirling, blinking, blue and green neon lights. Only about 6 images by default. Nice and clean. I think it looks nice, I modeled it after my desktop kinda.

The Site:

My Desktop:

'This is stuff like this that broke up the Bloods and the Crypts....'

I love indenting stuff I indent the books on my bookshelves..... A long while ago I found out my indention style is similar to the GNU style It is nice to feel like I belong somewhere.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indent_style#GNU_style

I've been using geany lately, look at those names! ( ° Д°)....
The CSS

Any idea on what those brackets next to the names mean?

The HTML

The styles that look like the K&R or the Banner styles, the styles used by most everyone uses, makes me want to vomit blood. Gotta get use to it though... Most everyone uses it and Geany caters to it...Maybe I should use emacs?

"Yo" Soy Chicken

I had a visitor today, I cooked for them. I made them some sorta soy chicken.

I spent about 3 hours trying to get IIS to work with ASP.NET 3.5 but no mater what I did it always used 2.0.

I almost had Saturday and Sunday off....Guess I'll just have to wait a bit more. It has been ages since I've been off on a saturday, not counting the vacation, I wander what it feels like.

I was thinking of going on meds for my attention span issues. But it seems like that stuff can outright kill you. Maybe I'm just reading the wrong sites but eh...

Read, reread and read again.

I had one of my slaves bring me pancakes today, pancakes are always nice. The IHOP pancakes are to die for/because of. Their computer was some kind of broken so I fixed that in the way you fix computers; by formating them and calling it magic.... Equal trade.

I read a chapter of my ASP.NET book 3 times and still don't remember anything from it.

Still feeling a bit down.

Prelude to hell.

It's like the inside of my mouth is being attacked by the Billion Degree Dragon and is trying to run like something that is under attack and is frightened by the attack. Like its so hot it is making the room feel hot. It is called “Nakji Bokum” which is Korean for “Fire and Brimstone” You generally use it in slash and burn terror tactics. I'm going to shit an inferno. Your food shouldn't tell you that it is going to murder you. It is octopus and various veggies and spices. A Korean dish that is supposed to be hot. I normally use half the spicy but this time I suppose I was trying to be tough.

So an object is just about anything. An object can be a car, a database, your computer screen, or a window you see on your computer screen. A class is a way to define how that object looks or acts.

A namespace is just that, a place to put names. A name is anything that has a unique identifier; variables, functions, classes, anything. I wanna do some OOPing now. Thats how I understand it so for. I suppose I can move on now.

What is a type?

I got the new job position thing. I just hope I can perform well enough.

Feeling better today.

Clean green whirls

So a name space is a container for....names....And a name is...well...A name is something else. it is like setting a scope that can be applied to multiple functions/objects(?).

"A namespace is an abstract container or environment created to hold a logical grouping of unique identifiers or symbols (i.e., names). An identifier defined in a namespace is associated with that namespace. The same identifier can be independently defined in multiple namespaces. That is, the meaning associated with an identifier defined in one namespace may or may not have the same meaning as the same identifier defined in another namespace. Languages that support namespaces specify the rules that determine to which namespace an identifier (i.e., not its definition) belongs.

For example, Bill works for company X and his employee ID is 123. John works for company Y and his employee ID is also 123. The reason Bill and John can be identified by the same ID number is because they work for different companies. The different companies in this case would symbolize different namespaces. There would be serious confusion if the two men worked for the same company, and still had the same employee ID. For instance, a paycheck issued to employee ID 123 would not identify which man should receive the check.
"....What?

So is a 'namee a variable? var bill = 123?

ugh...

I hate “googlers”, people that say “Have you tried googling it?” before attempting to answer a question.

I cooked this today http://www.recipezaar.com/Stuffed-Shiitake-Mushrooms-336612 It was alright, just not what I had expected. I probably just did it wrong. I was trying to make a "monkey ball" which seems to be like tempura'fied Shiitake Mushrooms with some sort of sweet and spicy mayonnaise sauce.

Silly girl, if you want to go around stabbing people you're gonna need a lot more knives and stuff than that. http://www.onemanga.com/Fist_of_the_North_Star/33/17/ Shigure Kōsaka understands this..

I've been away from this scene for a long time but I recently stumbled on this song. It is pleasant I think.

I did some cleaning/rearanging today. My workspace is a bit cleaner

Than it was before.

It isn't really that it is 'cleaner' but there is a lot more open space and that seems less crowded. I like that.

And so blender, when I start it, seems to...cause a reinitialization...of my screen/video output but doesn't really do too good of a job:

Everything is all black 'n stuff:

I have to fire up one of the password dialogs to get it back. (ಠ_ ಠ )

This is pretty much Internet littering. Uploading all kinds of silly little videos.

One problem with working with a project that is in high production is that sometimes between version as subtle as 241 and 248 buttons have been radically renamed and placed in totally different locations.

Spent about an hour looking for the 'vert' button to find out it was placed under "visualization" and named "line" for particles

Water glass ice stuff

I went outside today, it has been a while so it seemed like a new experience. I went to the store to get some milk, ended up getting all kinds of candy and milk. There is really only so much you can do without candy. Candy is a necessity. So is chips 'n dip, so says certain foreigners. Candy and mushrooms. Didn't manage to get any milk. I donno how that happened.

I woke up today at around 6 to 6:30ish to an empty house...Alone, nothing new there. I tried to work on my little project but, for now it is far above my skill level. I'll have to put it on hold. I can do something similar to this:

this:

But mine looks really....generic. I need to figure out how to get away from that.

You'd think the mechanical part would be the hard part. But the hard part is getting partials to go in a direction I want them to in a manor I want them to. And to have something explode and not have gravity effect the resulting matter.

What makes a machine good at rendering? Does it need to be all around strong. Will upgrading the processor or ram make it better? Sometimes when I render my little bars, those that tell me how stressed the machine is, sometimes indicate high ram usage sometimes high processor sometimes both. I don't really know what I'm talking about....( ó ωò)

I had a relapse today I wanted to try out that new thing they have “Fields of Valor” or some such jazz. You visit an object (a floating book) which gives you a training regime, which is pretty much just a hit list, you go out and waist those fools and get exp, I think it is EXP in addition to the EXP you get for the kills. I went out on level 75 samurai Tachi: Kasha'ing lvl 1 mobs (800~900 damage to something that has like...20hp). Turns out you have to actually gain EXP for it to count as a kill. “They're all gray to me”.

Having a blog is nice when you blog at the end of the day. That way it makes you feel like there is a bit of urgency to complete things. Or produce something to put on display. Keep you busy. Helps kill the 4 hours of extended mouse clicking. Maybe it'll make me a better writer too.

Meh.

I wish this thing would render quicker, it has been rendering for the past 30 minutes and is only on the 38th frame, 38 of 250. _/>o

>.<

I ended up not making a bridge but instead trying to recreate a "Skillchain" from FFXI. I've just about got the basic mechanics of it down I just need to work on the coloring and such. There is also the lighting and sound effects. I'm going to call my skillchain "Diabolical Declaration" Cheesy. Can't get a recording of the window, something about the applications being made of "ass" and "fail" I'm not too sure on the details...

I wish there was a way to give blender more of my PC's power. I'm sure it'd cut down on render times. What I have before render looks so much better than the actual render its self. Was really depressed seeing that. I need to figure out how to get something to explode after a certain point.

I cannot believe it is 11:25 already. I should be in the bed like 5 hours ago.

Had another interview, I thought I was done with them but I thought wrong. I think I did OK on that one. but ~who knows~

My eyes! Smart devices are bothersome sometimes. I have two Samsung SyncMaster 943bwx monitors and they have an option called 'MagicBright – Dynamic Contrast' or whatever...It....well, as I see it, it dims the screen based on the amount of white there is on the screen or rather the ratio of bright to dark. The more bright colors there are on a screen the brighter the screen is lit. But the device doesn't take into account the room lighting so if the room is well lit and the colors on the screen is dark it dims the screen so it is a bit hard to see. This isn't really a problem if you live/work/play in a dark room but when you open the window it is bothersome. It doesn't activate on individual pixels but on the whole screen.

Hora!

Lava makes a great disinfectant. However one of the best things about lava is that it is 100% all natural so it is totally safe for the environment. I picked up a book for blender and on the “Who should read this” section there was a bit that came out as 'People that know whats up.' After spending about an hour trying to figure out the first 3 pages of the first project I realized that I am not one of those people. I did however finish the segment and then went to go find a bit on on fluid simulation. My lava ball didn't come out at all like the one in the book. I need to redo it a few times.

Today I also found two IRC channels that I'mma try and frequent; one on general programming ##programming and the blender IRC channel #blender. Both are on irc.freenode.net.

Tomorrow I'm going to make a bridge and try to do a bit more on the ASP.NET bit. Spent the day wrestling with the idea of “NameSpaces” Still donno if I know what those really are. There aren't any definitions for retards out there. Everything gets really confusing really fast. I donno why this is so hard.

What is your ring tone? When I get a text message or email my phone shouts “HORA!” which is something like “HEY!”, “Look at me!”, “Now look'a here”. I got it by taking apart a flash soundboard I found for Misao Kusakabe from Lucky star.

http://danbooru.donmai.us/post/show/181317/flash-kusakabe-misao-lucky-star-soundboard from the left hand side click on the first object in the third row(ほら).

When it rings it plays a midi version of the pururin theme song from Welcome to the N.H.K. But it is really soft because I don't know how to up the pitch....Meh....

I'm a *nix user, my current choice is Ubuntu I update a week after a major version release I dual boot windows to help with my cocai....Final Fantasy Eleven addiction. Having said that this makes me sorta sad: http://linuxlock.blogspot.com/2008/12/linux-stop-holding-our-kids-back.html . I wander what OS the kid was demonstrating.

今日は

じゃ。。。。Today was alright I suppose. I had the last two of three interviews for a developer position that I've been pulled into applying for. I think I passed two of the three total interviews. I don't think I did very well on one because I wasn't as talkative as I probably should have been. I did send thank you letters and stuff.
Before and after the interview I was doing a bit of reading up on C# and The ASP.NET framework so far so good. I also got to do some blender I made some balls, not my own, grow and shrink. The blender bit was a bit more interesting.

After all that I did a bit of FFXI, I leveled Black Mage. It's funny; I've gotten 3 jobs to 75, 3 jobs to their 50's, and a bunch of 37~ jobs however Black Mage was the very first job I started to level and it is still stuck at 61. I've decided not to play FFXI until I can return to my old server. Yeah, recently I did a server migration to meet up with a friend but they never talk to me and only reply with one liners like “oh”, “lol”, and “ok”.....Meh... During the FFXI bit I lurked OkCupid, that was depressing.

Another day.

Whoa, another day over. Had things I wanted to do but didn't. On the other hand I did get 5 merit points in FFXI, my addiction I need to quit or at least cut back on. Thats like 50,000 experience points. Vacation sure is nice.
