Gosh.

Realized that I hate most/all OS "bling"....I was messing around with the RGBA Window Transparency nonsense in ubuntu and now I cannot have a peaceful desktop session without compiz enabled or windows just blink on and off and move about the screen....Personally I ignorantly blame ATI because a lot of things don't work with this card and I'm gonna go and say that this is one of those things. Regardless, 10.04 is coming out soon and I hope to upgrade to an nvidia card and slap on 8GB of ram....You can never have enough ram.

I found out that I often sit around and think about my languages and don't really write what I think about down. This makes it harder to remember later on. with that in mind I've made this; http://aggigo.blogspot.com/, this way I can go back and look at what I was thinking about in the off chance I come to a new understanding.

So, FFXI is raising the level cap to 99....I wander how that's gonna pan out....Means I have about 6 jobs I need to go from 75 to 99 with....I sure hope I don't have to fight Maat to get there....I really really hope it's 'easy' to get to 99, it's only 24 levels.

I think I've gotten my bug back so I want to try programming more....I had lost it due to the rigors of a previous position. I think firstly I'll finish up the "site" and then work on something I have in "aggidev". Blender 2.50 should be out later this year so I should probably catch up on my blender...It's been a "while" since I've done much with blender eh...?

What Ixion?

(03:54:48 PM) aggitan: I want Dark Ixion's Ixion Cloak
(03:54:55 PM) aggitan: Too bad you gotta fight Dark Ixion to get it
(03:56:51 PM) internet: have to fight me for my cloak, too

The fool doesn't even use it. All he does is stand around all day look'n all kinds of hard, mad-dogging people..

Do you see a cloak? I sure as hell don't. He's got more than one too. Should just let folks borrow it....Fucker has a cloak AND a cape. And he don't even use them.

I remember when I First saw Dark Ixion....Or rather didn't see Dark Ixion soon enough.
I had all of my filters on so I didn't see the raging battle going on to the left of me and suddenly I took like two thousand damage or something

I had 400HP

Good thing I didn't need those HP to keeping me alive or anything...Oh wait, I did! before I knew what was going on I died 5 times in a row.
The attack doesn't descriminate between people who do or do not have aggro. It simply sees "are you alive?", and deals with that little issue accordingly.

That's the kinda ass Dark Ixion is. I wasn't even doing anything, just trying to get home. I got home alright....in a body bag.

Dick Ixion.

DYNAMIS

I AM BACK! Guess what I did from 9am to 10pm......

First half was doing campaign. Thats where you go out and get attacked by twenty to thirty monsters of various shapes and sizes I got three merits.

It is silly because I'd expect people to move out of the way while the pain train comes through however people always want to be the hero so five or six people hop on the tracks think'n they can make a difference. They start getting plowed down and then start running all over the place so then the mobs link onto one another and run around aggroing people, after they have killed their original target, until it all calms down (i.e. "er body in da club is ( x _x)" ). So then the mobs go back to doing what they came to do which is tear down our fortifications. Once the mob aggros the fortification then they aren't going to aggro anyone else. I think it is best to let the mobs aggro the fortifications then pull them off it one or two at a time. Yes it lowers the nation influence in the zone but it is quicker than having everyone dead and the mobs attacking the tower....Though I suppose it is a totally different case when the NPC's are there....I donno...It gets pretty sick.

I actually managed to clear Dynamis - San D'Oria today. What you can't do with
finesse you can surly do with numbers. Throw twenty plus people with swords, axes, and knives at something and it is sure to go down. Unless whatever it is their attacking came out packing nukes under each oiled and greasy arms......Just waiting to drop that 'em.....Like I say; Go all out or don't go at all

OTOH I didn't do anything productive today. That is what MMOs do to you.

Water glass ice stuff

I went outside today, it has been a while so it seemed like a new experience. I went to the store to get some milk, ended up getting all kinds of candy and milk. There is really only so much you can do without candy. Candy is a necessity. So is chips 'n dip, so says certain foreigners. Candy and mushrooms. Didn't manage to get any milk. I donno how that happened.

I woke up today at around 6 to 6:30ish to an empty house...Alone, nothing new there. I tried to work on my little project but, for now it is far above my skill level. I'll have to put it on hold. I can do something similar to this:

this:

But mine looks really....generic. I need to figure out how to get away from that.

You'd think the mechanical part would be the hard part. But the hard part is getting partials to go in a direction I want them to in a manor I want them to. And to have something explode and not have gravity effect the resulting matter.

What makes a machine good at rendering? Does it need to be all around strong. Will upgrading the processor or ram make it better? Sometimes when I render my little bars, those that tell me how stressed the machine is, sometimes indicate high ram usage sometimes high processor sometimes both. I don't really know what I'm talking about....( ó ωò)

I had a relapse today I wanted to try out that new thing they have “Fields of Valor” or some such jazz. You visit an object (a floating book) which gives you a training regime, which is pretty much just a hit list, you go out and waist those fools and get exp, I think it is EXP in addition to the EXP you get for the kills. I went out on level 75 samurai Tachi: Kasha'ing lvl 1 mobs (800~900 damage to something that has like...20hp). Turns out you have to actually gain EXP for it to count as a kill. “They're all gray to me”.

Having a blog is nice when you blog at the end of the day. That way it makes you feel like there is a bit of urgency to complete things. Or produce something to put on display. Keep you busy. Helps kill the 4 hours of extended mouse clicking. Maybe it'll make me a better writer too.

Meh.

I wish this thing would render quicker, it has been rendering for the past 30 minutes and is only on the 38th frame, 38 of 250. _/>o

今日は

じゃ。。。。Today was alright I suppose. I had the last two of three interviews for a developer position that I've been pulled into applying for. I think I passed two of the three total interviews. I don't think I did very well on one because I wasn't as talkative as I probably should have been. I did send thank you letters and stuff.
Before and after the interview I was doing a bit of reading up on C# and The ASP.NET framework so far so good. I also got to do some blender I made some balls, not my own, grow and shrink. The blender bit was a bit more interesting.

After all that I did a bit of FFXI, I leveled Black Mage. It's funny; I've gotten 3 jobs to 75, 3 jobs to their 50's, and a bunch of 37~ jobs however Black Mage was the very first job I started to level and it is still stuck at 61. I've decided not to play FFXI until I can return to my old server. Yeah, recently I did a server migration to meet up with a friend but they never talk to me and only reply with one liners like “oh”, “lol”, and “ok”.....Meh... During the FFXI bit I lurked OkCupid, that was depressing.
